Red Velvet Cupcakes

Red Velvet Cupcakes decorated with butter cream, love heart sprinkles, spun sugar, chocolate circles.




You could even have these as Valentine cupcakes


Spun Sugar Decorations - Place an amount of sugar in a pan on medium heat . Leave till golden liquid starts forming on the bottom blend/mix the sugar that sits on top with a wooden spoon.Remove from heat after all sugar is dissolved and smooth.

With a tray covered with a sheet of baking paper scoop some sugar on a folk or spoon drizzle your patterns and shapes.
To get a net looking affect drizzle it over a ladle it hardens quickly so you can take it off a few seconds after.
To get a spiral, hold a plastic spoon and wait till the sugar gets a nice thin flow going quickly twirl it around the handle of the spoon, carefully slide off to the end of the spoon
The sugar in the pan will harden and become very thick, to get it back to a nice consistency put your pan back on the stove on heat and will take a few seconds. Or even to melt unwanted hardened sugar or mistake, just chuck it back in the pan over low heat.
